'Penelope’s Balloons' follows the story of a little elephant called Penelope who has a habit of carrying ten red balloons with her wherever she goes. However, when she loses all but one balloon, she goes to extreme lengths to protect it, isolating herself along the way.
The story is inspired by real experiences growing up with a sibling with autism who tied a lot of grounding into particular objects. The story explores themes of letting go, friendship and community.
