Brooke is a cartoonist and illustrator based in London. Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, she first moved to the UK for a post-graduate fellowship in storytelling and comedy after she graduated from Harvard with a degree in neurobiology.
Brooke is primarily driven to recording instances of humour and surprise, and her cartooning work has been published in The New Yorker, Private Eye, The Harvard Lampoon, and The Drift. Having recently completed her MA in Children's Book Illustration at the Cambridge School of Art, Brooke's children’s books are heavily influenced by cartoons and animation, and her greatest hope is that her pictures and stories can make people laugh. In addition to drawing, Brooke is an educator and a performer, and she often collaborates with comedy groups and teaching institutions to enhance visual communication, particularly through humour.
